Public Notices Overview

ALL projects are sorted by issuance date. The public notices and drawings are in PDF formatted files. You must have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your PC to view the files. If you don't have it, you may download it free from www.adobe.com.

Viewing Notices. To view a Public Notice and its associated Drawings file (if any), click on the "Public Notice" or "Public Notice and Drawings" link and any additional links included in the attachments section. How to send comments. Comments can be mailed to the address appearing in the Public Notice or emailed to the Project Manager identified on the Public Notice. Comments made in reference to a Public Notice should include your name, address, and phone number as well as the permit application number identified on the Public Notice. 

Individuals or parties may request an extension of time in which to comment on the proposed work by writing to the project manager or clicking on the project manager’s name on the public notice grid on the web page.  Any request must be specific and substantively supportive of the requested extension, and received by this office prior to the end of the initial comment period.  The Branch Chief will review the request and the requestor will be promptly notified of the decision to grant or deny the request.  If granted, the time extension will be continuous to the initial comment period and, inclusive of the initial comment period, will not exceed a total of 30 calendar days.

NAME OF APPLICANT:  RIDGE OAKS, LLC, c/o Paul Hogan, Post Office Box 250, Des Allemands, Louisiana  70030  

LOCATION OF WORK:  Bayou Dularge, located at Seven Oaks/LA Highway 315 (Bayou Dularge Road), Houma, Louisiana, (29.4782558, -90.749194), in Terrebonne Parish, as shown on the enclosed drawings, within Hydrologic Unit Code 08090302, West Central Louisiana Coastal.  

CHARACTER OF WORK:  The applicant has requested a time extension to continue work  covering the removal of a wooden bridge, the placement of aggregate material for an earthen approach and crossing, with culverts, across Bayou Dularge, the installation of a sedimentation basin and the construction of an earthen road to access a borrow pit.  The project was originally authorized on April 1, 2013, and included the authorization dated November 13, 2012, under MVN-2012-02545-WPP.  The permit has since expired on February 28, 2018.  Minor grading has taken place on the access road, and the remaining proposed activities have not been accomplished.  There are no changes to the original scope of work.  Approximately 0.14 ac of non-vegetated waterbottoms would be impacted through the placement of fill within the natural channel and the loss of waterbottoms.­­­
