ALL projects are sorted by issuance date. The public notices and drawings are in PDF formatted files. You must have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your PC to view the files. If you don't have it, you may download it free from www.adobe.com.

Viewing Notices. To view a Public Notice and its associated Drawings file (if any), click on the "Public Notice" or "Public Notice and Drawings" link and any additional links included in the attachments section. How to send comments. Comments can be mailed to the address appearing in the Public Notice or emailed to the Project Manager identified on the Public Notice. Comments made in reference to a Public Notice should include your name, address, and phone number as well as the permit application number identified on the Public Notice. 

Individuals or parties may request an extension of time in which to comment on the proposed work by writing to the project manager or clicking on the project manager’s name on the public notice grid on the web page.  Any request must be specific and substantively supportive of the requested extension, and received by this office prior to the end of the initial comment period.  The Branch Chief will review the request and the requestor will be promptly notified of the decision to grant or deny the request.  If granted, the time extension will be continuous to the initial comment period and, inclusive of the initial comment period, will not exceed a total of 30 calendar days.

NAME OF APPLICANT:  The Shaw Group, Incorporated, 4171 Essen Lane, Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70809.

LOCATION:  Project located at Latitude 30.308936, Longitude -93.361298, off of Lincoln Road, adjacent to the Port of Lake Charles, 4.5 miles south of the City of Lake Charles, in Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana.  

DESCRIPTION:   Department of the Army (DA) permit, MVN-2008-02723-WW, was issued to The Shaw Group (previously known as Global Modular Solutions, LLC), on November 21, 2008, for the construction of an industrial assembly facility located near the Port of Lake Charles.  Approximately 95% of the permitted building footprint and related areas have been constructed, and the facility is in operation.  Certain aspects of development are still in the process of being considered for material storage yards and staging areas.  There are no changes to the project since it was originally permitted.  The applicant purchased 93 acres of longleaf pine savanna credits at Lacassane Mitigation Bank, as compensatory mitigation at the time of original issuance of the DA permit.  The applicant is requesting that the DA permit be reissued for completion of the original authorized project.  The Corps shall determine if any further mitigation shall be required prior to reissuance of the subject DA permit.
