ALL projects are sorted by issuance date. The public notices and drawings are in PDF formatted files. You must have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your PC to view the files. If you don't have it, you may download it free from www.adobe.com.

Viewing Notices. To view a Public Notice and its associated Drawings file (if any), click on the "Public Notice" or "Public Notice and Drawings" link and any additional links included in the attachments section. How to send comments. Comments can be mailed to the address appearing in the Public Notice or emailed to the Project Manager identified on the Public Notice. Comments made in reference to a Public Notice should include your name, address, and phone number as well as the permit application number identified on the Public Notice. 

Individuals or parties may request an extension of time in which to comment on the proposed work by writing to the project manager or clicking on the project manager’s name on the public notice grid on the web page.  Any request must be specific and substantively supportive of the requested extension, and received by this office prior to the end of the initial comment period.  The Branch Chief will review the request and the requestor will be promptly notified of the decision to grant or deny the request.  If granted, the time extension will be continuous to the initial comment period and, inclusive of the initial comment period, will not exceed a total of 30 calendar days.

NAME OF APPLICANT:  Lake Charles Harbor & Terminal District, C/O Arabie Environmental Solutions, Inc., Post Office Box 928, Lake Charles, Louisiana  70602. 

LOCATION OF WORK:  In the Calcasieu Ship Channel, Section 17, Township 10 South, Range 9 West, at Lake Charles, Louisiana in Calcasieu Parish, as shown on the enclosed drawings.

CHARACTER OF WORK:  The applicant proposes a modification and time extension to MVN 1998-3311-WY.  This modification and time extension was previously advertised on May 9, 2016.  The applicant has provided an addendum to the previous application, and is proposing utilization of Corps Disposal Facility CDF-5, in lieu of CDF-7, at the request of the Corps of Engineers during the Section 408 review process.  The proposed activity consists of construction offloading facilities and dredge activities at the Lake Charles Methanol project.  The facility will consist of two 134’ X 50’ concrete areas with winch and bollard pads, as well as approximately 1,300’ X 130’ area of dredging along the existing bulkhead in the Calcasieu River Ship Channel.  Approximately 67,358 cubic yards of dredge material will be removed from the site and placed in CDF-5.  CDF-5 is an approximately 40 acre existing Corps Disposal Facility that contains both non-wetlands and jurisdictional wetlands.
