Published July 18, 2014

NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District, and its contractors will temporarily shift travel lanes on Carrollton Avenue for work related to the Southeast Louisiana Drainage Project (SELA).

Beginning Monday, July 21, 2014, the northbound lanes of Carrollton Avenue will be shifted and reduced to two lanes in the South Claiborne Avenue intersection.

Two travel lanes will remain open through the intersection at all times. The New Orleans Police Department will assist with the transition.

Work is for drainage box culvert installation and is expected to be complete in July 2015.

Throughout construction, the Corps will continue to work closely with its partners at RTA, JeT, and the Department of Public Works for the City of New Orleans. All SELA work in Orleans Parish is scheduled to be complete in 2018.
