Corps activates inspections along Mississippi River

The Mississippi River at the Carrollton gauge in New Orleans has risen above 11 feet, prompting the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District to activate Phase I flood fight procedures.

UPDATE: Postponed until further notice -- Lane closure to occur on Louisiana Avenue for work related to SELA

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District will temporarily close a north bound (lake bound) portion of Louisiana Avenue for work related to the Southeast Louisiana Urban Flood Control Project (SELA).
