Lane closure to occur on Louisiana Avenue for work related to SELA

 

NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District will temporarily close a north bound (lake bound) portion of Louisiana Avenue for work related to the Southeast Louisiana Urban Flood Control Project (SELA).

Weather permitting, on Tuesday, May 3, 2016, from 9am to 3pm, the north bound travel lane of Louisiana Avenue will be closed from St. Charles Avenue to Lasalle Street.

Traffic traveling north on Louisiana Avenue at St. Charles Avenue will be detoured to Jackson Avenue and then to Lasalle Street. A map highlighting the detour is below.

Throughout construction, the Army Corps will continue to coordinate closures with its partners at the City of New Orleans and the Sewerage & Water Board.
