Lane shift to occur on S. Claiborne Ave. at S. Carrolton Ave.

Southeast Louisiana Drainage Project (SELA)

NEW ORLEANS

 

– The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District, and its contractor will shift travel lanes on S. Claiborne Ave. at S. Carrolton Ave. for work related to the Southeast Louisiana Drainage Project (SELA).

Weather permitting, on Thursday, July 16, 2015, from Fern St. to Dublin St., two west bound travel lanes will be shifted to the north side of S. Claiborne Ave. (original conditions). Two east bound traffic lanes will remain on the south side of S. Claiborne Ave. All travel lanes west of Dublin St. will be shifted to the south side of S. Claiborne Ave. Pedestrian crosswalks will be placed at their original locations at the intersection of S. Claiborne Ave. and S. Carrolton Ave.

Throughout construction, The Corps will continue to work closely with its partners at the City of New Orleans.
