Lane closure to occur on Louisiana Avenue

Southeast Louisiana Drainage Project (SELA)

NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District, and its contractors will temporarily close a section of Louisiana Ave. for work related to the Southeast Louisiana Drainage Project (SELA).

Weather permitting, beginning Saturday, April 11^th at 7:00 a.m., the southbound (river bound) lane of Louisiana Ave. at Magnolia St. will be closed for installation of sheet pile for sewer main construction. The roadway will reopen Sunday, April 12^th by 7:00 p.m.

Detour signage will be installed. Washington Ave. to Lasalle St. can be used to access Louisiana Ave.

Throughout construction, The Corps will continue to work closely with its partners at the City of New Orleans.
