UPDATED: Corps to implement lane shift on South Carrollton Ave. at South Claiborne Ave.

Southeast Louisiana Drainage Project (SELA)

UPDATE: Due to inclement weather, the lane shift is now scheduled to be put into place on Wednesday, April 1, 2015.

NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District, and its contractors will temporarily shift southbound (river bound) travel lanes on South Carrollton Ave. at South Claiborne Ave. for work related to the Southeast Louisiana Drainage Project (SELA).

Beginning Tuesday, March 31, 2015, the southbound (river bound) lanes of South Carrollton Ave. from Belfast St. to Neron Pl. with be shifted west. The lane shift is for the construction of a new drainage box culvert at the South Claiborne Ave. and South Carrollton Ave. intersection and will be in place for approximately three months.

Throughout construction, The Corps will continue to work closely with its partners at the City of New Orleans.
