Lane closure to occur near South Claiborne Avenue and Louisiana Avenue for SELA work

Published Nov. 10, 2014

NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District, and its contractors will temporarily close a travel lane at the intersection of South Claiborne Avenue and Louisiana Avenue for work related to the Southeast Louisiana Drainage Project (SELA).

Beginning Wednesday, November 12, 2014, the right, south-bound lanes of Toledano Street will be closed from South Claiborne Avenue through Magnolia Street.

The lane closure is for installation of foundation jet grout testing and will be in place until late November 2014. This is in addition to lane closures currently in effect for the Louisiana Avenue project.

Throughout construction, The Corps will continue to work closely with its partners at the Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans, as well as the City of New Orleans’ Department of Public Works. For questions or comments, please call the SELA Construction Hotline at 504-585-2450.
