NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District, and its contractors will temporarily close the channel at the Bayou Bienvenue Control Structure. The closure is for on-going construction of a vehicle swing bridge.
Beginning Monday, October 20, 2014 until Friday, November 28, 2014, the channel will be closed to marine traffic from 6:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. and from 1:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. weekdays. The channel will be open to marine traffic 24-hours a day on Saturdays and Sundays.
